After the Kitauji High School’s wind set performs an impressive performance in the first year of Oumae Kumiko, its results in their second year feel disappointing for the entire club. They intended to achieve a gold medal in the national competition, but their participation ends with what is known as a “golden gold ” in the Kansai competition: a gold medal that does not include being chosen to advance the competition national.
