In the Fire Academy of the Tokyo Fire Department, a new talented rookie stands out in the strict and exhausting rescue training. With high competition in physical and mental categories, Daigo Toake is envied by one of his classmates, Shun Onoda. Despite feeling a growing sense of rivalry, Shun recognizes that a part of his jealousy comes from his admiration for Daigo, and that they will eventually work together for the same noble goal to rescue people.

At the same time, Yuki Nakamura is the only woman among the current recruit lot. She believes that she will not be overcome in this profession dominated by men. As the destiny of the three rookies intertwine, they can soon realize that the intensity of a real disaster is not close to what they have experienced in training. Even so, orange heroes will always shine more than any fire, saving those in need.
